Special Needs Planning
If you have a child with special needs, who will care for him or her when you are no longer able? If care is to be provided by a third party, how much will that care cost? Will an inheritance cause your child to be disqualified from government programs and be quickly exhausted in the process? How can you ensure not only lifetime care but also quality of life for your child?
With proper planning, you can preserve government benefits, protect assets, and safeguard your loved one's happiness and well-being. As a member of the preeminent Academy of Special Needs Planners (ASNP), Vasiliadis & Associates can help you plan for your own future as well as the future of family members with special needs. Call today to secure your loved one's tomorrow.

Alice and Bob have always taken care of their developmentally disabled daughter, Gail, age 45. Gail is autistic, has never worked and lives with them at home. She receives SSI (Supplemental Security Income) and medical coverage through Medicaid. Alice and Bob worry about who will take care of Gail after they no longer can. They also want to provide Gail with an inheritance that will not disqualify her from continuing to receive her benefits. After consulting with Vasiliadis & Associates, Alice and Bob establish a Supplemental Needs Trust for Gail’s benefit. The Trust provides instructions and guidance for Gail’s care. Assets in the trust will remain available for Gail and do not disqualify her from her SSI/Medicaid eligibility. |
